Want to
become a Sikh chaplain?
Do you
feel you could serve the community by helping to
visit those in hospital for a few hours a week?
Then
attend the Sikh healthcare chaplaincy group training
day, which is to be held on the 3rd of
October 2009 between 10am to 4pm, at the Nanak
Darbar Gurdwara, 138 High Road, New Southgate,
London. N11 1PJ.
The
training day is free and will be run by Rev Edward
Lewis and Tim Battle from the multi-faith healthcare
chaplaincy group along with other Sikh chaplains.
Lunch will also be served.
On the
day, you will learn about the role of a chaplain and
discuss about Sikh issues relating to chaplaincy
care.
The day
is specifically designed for new volunteers and will
explain what the next steps are in becoming a Sikh
chaplain in your local hospital.
